Colorful period piece set in 19th century England. Girl from the other side of the tracks suffers unrequitted love. The dialogue could have had more of that hard to hear yet witty English banter that other films of this ilk have. Not my usual cup of tea, but not bad if nothing else is available.

Another good movie but not quite up my alley. Wife loved it!

I would describe it as the trials and tribulations of being a social climber in the 19th century.
