The Panasonic DMR-EZ47VK can be thought of as a digital video Swiss Army knife. It has a built in ATSC tuner, DVD recording capability, VHS Playback and dubbing, and its an upconverting DVD player (up to 1080p via HDMI) to boot. So with all this capability we were excited when the unit showed up at the home offices of the HT Guys. On paper this device was too good to be true. So how did it fare in the real world?

The Panasonic is one great dvd recorder I first had a LG 797 and returned it cause it would not record any premium channels this is a problem if you want to watch a show and you are not home it has a block in it that wont let you record.I returned it and picked up the Panasonic DMR EZ47V the unit is awsome it's picture is great it has a digatal tuner what more can you ask for for the price of $269 anyone that buys this unit will definitely be pleased!

One needs to be "clear" whenever recommending -- this .. EZ47V .. will NOT handle "HD" ...
see above review by our magazine reviewers, please.

Some might be confused & spend $300 for "naught!"
