Seems WXIA-TV has changed the 11-2 channel from the generic Atlanta
metro radar to a full weather channel called 11alive Weather Plus.
It rotates current weather data and forecasts through various Georgia
cities such as Atlanta, Newnan, Gainesville, Rome, and Athens.
All the while there is various content in the main window similar to
what the Weather Channel does with more focus on Atlanta metro.
They do give radar/forecasts/airport info for other cities/areas that
might interest those who travel.
Seems cool, except now you have to wait to get the radar and it seems
to be farther out. Wished they would have made the main window
smaller and put a constant metro radar somewhere on the screen.
I guess I won't complain as the price is right.
Oh...but they do have a banner ad in the top left sometimes and have
shown a few commercials in the main window. I guess they have to
fund the system somehow.
