It seems like everyone’s got one these days. Do they really work? Are there any differences between models? You may be surprised at my test results.

I have 3 of them ! (No more bills for me.) They are the BEST small antennas EVER, and I've tried over a dozen communist/chinese ones. :|

MADE IN USA (Raleigh, NC). :P

If you want, tell them "Sloan" sent you. Sloan like a "LOAN", like you need money......because you've been robbed by cable and satellite bills!!!!

I went with the Mohu Plus model, since it has a built in amplifier, of which you can use via USB or standard outlet, and it comes with an outlet adapter, so you don't have to try and find one somewhere. I have 2, and yes they work very well. I live within 2 DMA's, and am able to get steady, reliable signals from both, except for 3 channels, 2 in one DMA, the other in the 2nd DMA, but the other 10 channels, including sub-channels come in perfectly. I should also say that the 3 channels in question that are somewhat unreliable do come in periodically, I think it depends on weather or other interferences in my area, it just depends...
You may have to try many different spots in terms of placement. In my case, I have them each facing the designated DMA in question, with a combiner to strengthen the overall signal. I was using a set of amplified "ears" prior to this purchase, but I was getting tired of having to fine tune all the time when I wanted to watch a particular channel, with the Mohu's, the ones I watch the most frequently come in with no problem, so that is no longer an issue. I've tried many different types of indoor antennas, and yes they may cost a bit more, but for peace of mind, at least for me, they are worth it, and since I rent, I didn't think my landlord would want a full size rotor antenna on the roof.
