Go back in time about 6-7 years and you’ll see just how dramatically the TV landscape has changed, along with the reversal of fortunes for Korean and Japanese TV manufacturers.

There was only one thing I might take some small exception to...

Of course it depends on your definition of "soon", but I suspect if the US economy (and other global economies) continue to make their slow recoveries, that by 2014 or 2015 we will see the effect of pent-up demand (long deferred purchases) resulting in some substantial growth in this area. Another "boom" if you will.
