Don't you mean "And the prospect of using "4K" resolution video — equivalent to four 1080p displays — means that we will need even bigger pipes to..."

And...
"The current limit for Ethernet is 100 Mbits per second over copper wires."
Isn't the current limit 1000Mbits with Gigabit Ethernet?

On the second part I believe he is quoting the limit over convention Phone quality lines. Higher bandwidths usually require wire such as CAT 5e or Cat 6.

Steve, you're right -- I meant 4K, which actually has about the same number of pixels as five 1080p sets, but after my mistake, I'm not going to be picky. <g>

Also, the new Ethernet is only 1,000 times faster than Gigabit Ethernet.
