Interesting you noticed the same I did several years ago when the CEMA (Consumer Electronics Manufacturers Association) changed its name to CEA (Consumer Electronics Association), the name is a bit misleading but the organization is actually about an association of manufacturers of "electronics used by consumers", not an association of "consumers for the electronics manufacturers make".

Regarding CEA's Enthusiast effort, I joined over a year ago when it was introduced to the press at a NYC CES pre-show but I frankly had very little time to evaluate how productive this was, other than an apparent slow participation and questionable benefits.
