Sony Adds Netflix to Bravia Internet Video Platform

Netflix, Demand Media(TM), and ON Networks(R) are the latest content providers to join Sony's BRAVIA(R) Internet Video platform.

In the fall of 2009, Netflix members will be able to instantly watch more than 12,000 movies and TV episodes on Sony BRAVIA Internet Video-capable HDTVs and on previous BRAVIA models compatible with Sony's BRAVIA Internet Video Link module.

Now what, if any advantage does this option offer over what's already available from Netflix & Amazon with a $99 Roku box? Especially if you have to pay Sony $200.00 for their Internet link module?

Another thought: Is Sony making this available through their PS3 system and if not, why not since it's already set up for VOD?
