Samsung has been touting the BDP-UP5000 since the August CEDIA show, yet hardly anyone has been actually selling it. Now, at the 2008 CES, they introduce the 5500. What goes? :(

Who sold one? My understanding is it has yet to be released. Last I checked it was slated for FEB 2008, nearly a 3 month delay from when I checked last year...

I said ALMOST no one, because I too, hadn't senn any sold. "ALMOST" was in case someone in this discussion might actually know on any that may have hit the market.

My point is that: It is "mid-boggling" to even be introducing a 5500 (no real special improvement), when the 5000 hasn't even hit the shelves yet!
