Discovery HD, Sony HDTVs and IMAX all imply HDTV and Super Resolution. Yet what is being proposed is half resolution 3D. It will be 1080 interlaced (left and right images) or side by side (compressed or squeezed left and right images). What is needed but isn't available is for the left and right images to be full resolution or better. Bandwidth for the broadcaster is one thing but when you have a cable the more bandwidth the better.
