Colonel Robert Shaw is assigned the task of training Negro recruits for the Union Army facing politics and prejudice from both sides of the battle line. I have seen this movie numerous times now and it remains a timeless classic taking 5 Oscars in 1990. The winning cinematography really shines in this HD version.
