D-Link DSM-750 - Wireless N HD Media Center Extender

The HT Guys Thu May 15, 2008 7:57 am

Back in Episode #178 (June, 2007) we did a feature on the Vista Media Center. For that review we used an HP m8000n to run the Media Center. We talked about the features of the Media Center and how one could use the computer to run spreadsheets during the day and watch live TV or movies using an extender device at night. What audio/video connections did you use?

Can you guys provide more information about how you hooked this up? What video/audio connections did you use, etc. I ask because I had one of these units and had trouble getting it to work over HDMI.

Thanks,

- Miller

Hi Miller,

It wasn't anything more than we said in the review:

For the wired test we connected an HDMI cable to the player and an HDMI switching receiver. We connected Ethernet and power and that was it! We were ready to turn on the system.

The switching receiver was a Pioneer VSX-94TXH.
