D-Link DSM-750 - Wireless N HD Media Center Extender

Post by The HT Guys »

Back in Episode #178 (June, 2007) we did a feature on the Vista Media Center. For that review we used an HP m8000n to run the Media Center. We talked about the features of the Media Center and how one could use the computer to run spreadsheets during the day and watch live TV or movies using an extender device at night. If you are not familiar with the features of the Media Center, that would be a good show to go back and listen to. What audio/video connections did you use?

Post by miller »

Can you guys provide more information about how you hooked this up? What video/audio connections did you use, etc. I ask because I had one of these units and had trouble getting it to work over HDMI.

Thanks,

Hi Miller,

It wasn't anything more than we said in the review:

For the wired test we connected an HDMI cable to the player and an HDMI switching receiver. We connected Ethernet and power and that was it! We were ready to turn on the system.

The switching receiver was a Pioneer VSX-94TXH.
