Your responses plus Allargon's suggest a comprehensive article on the subject, which the two of you are covering very well. Perhaps this forum is enough, but a full blown comprehensive piece might reach others who, like me, have been looking for this. The equipment is expensive, and I regret having to replace the Arcam FMJ 8 pre-processor which I bought for $4.5K in 2003, because it won't do the job now, and its upgrade for another $K does not appear to have caught up, either. The Integra pre-proc at $1.6K will apparently do the job, but I have begun to search more thoroughly.
