HDTV by MPEG4 and DSL
I read with interest, your article on IPTV services. I have DTV installed over DSL line with fiberoptic node about 1,200 ft from home. We receive bandwidth of 16 megabits and have broadband Internet, and 3 STBs, one with dual tuner. No HDTV signal yet because of wait for phone company and STB change to MPEG4. What will bandwidth requirements be for HDTV using MPEG4? We have 40" JVC 1080p LCD waiting for HDTV signal. Do you see systems where one HD television can receive HDTV quality signal but rest getting standard TV signal due to bandwidth limitations?
