I thought a thread that provides a place to keep track of what and when DirecTV offers free programming demos would be helpful. For instance, a free weekend of Showtime, Starz, HBO, etc. that you could browse ahead on and set your DVR. I can never easily remember when they are going on.
Right now, May 1-4, they have free viewing of the "Choice Extra" channels.

Hi " ALL " . . . .
BUT - do recall that some or many times - those Premium Channels will also contain the dreaded
"DO NOT COPY" bits embedded within it's broadcast stream - so - NO recording allowed !
Just "live viewing."
At least it IS this way on our COX HD and my friend's COMCAST HD.

I record D*s promotional premiums all the time. Not a problem.

Hmm... I guess that's one advantage with DirecTV!
