So by now everyone knows what's in Ara's Home Theater, in fact all over Ara's house, but we get questions occasionally on what Braden is using as well. To put those questions to rest, we'll get into all the details today. You've heard bits and pieces, like the recent addition of the PS3, but here's the whole system, all at one time.

Re: HDTV and Home Theater Podcast #263 - Braden's Home Theater..
Life's all about trade-offs. Eventually I plan to add some tower or large bookshelf speakers in the front for L/R. But that hasn't made it through the aesthetics committee yet. It was impossible to add in-walls there, due what was already in the wall on one side of the TV. The best compromise was in-ceiling for the front effects. Not ideal, but passable until the aesthetics committee comes around (and the finance committee, for that matter).
The in-ceilings actually do a fairly good job. They're aim-able, so really you only have a couple feet difference (height wise) between an in-wall and an in-ceiling in the front of the room.
