What can I do to get the longest lamp life? What is the average lamp life? Is a long life bulb available on the market?

I own a Mits 62 DLP thats a 2004 model ,I'm currently on my 5th bulb ,at an average price of $250 ea .it would be nice to find a deal on line ,but I'm hesitant to try a non approved Mits bulb ,currently if you have them send you one they put a hold of twice the cost against your credit card and remove the balance one old bulb is returned ,don't know that this answers your ? but I guess it depends on your usage and whether you use a power supply unit ,I highly recommend one because power spikes can shorten life of bulbs .KW
