Since we are discussing movies here I thought this might be the appropriate place to make this post ... please move it if not.
I have always been a big fan of Roger Ebert. Even though I may not always agree with his reviews, I really enjoy his commentary. I have learned a lot from him (and the late Gene SIskel) about the movies over the years. Through his reviews I have learned about numerous wonderful lesser known movies that never get the press they deserve.
So, for those of you have not yet heard, it is with sadness that I pass this report along to fellow fans ...
"Roger Ebert is back in the hospital after emergency surgery Sunday to deal with complications from his June 16 operation on a cancerous tumor on his salivary gland. Apparently a blood vessel burst near the area of his surgery. As of Monday morning, Ebert was reported to be in serious but stable condition."
Here is a link to the complete column with some more details about his health ...

I know all of you will join me in wishing Roger all the very best for a complete recovery and return to his movie reviews on TV.
Best Wishes to Roger Ebert

Re: Best Wishes to Roger Ebert
Roger actually had that surgery on July 1st. They have been showing repeats for the entire month since. Apparently he is doing well, but he's been out of view.
