A crew was in the process of doing a documentary on Mount Merapi, an active volcano in Indonesia (which is expected to erupt at any time) when the May 27th, 2006 earthquake struck the country.
As a result they were the first on the scene to record some of the devastation. They record on the fly as things unfold ... the panic of people thinking a tsunami as about to strike ... a few of the scenes are a little disturbing involving death. With the exception of a few minutes of SD new footage, it is all in high quality HDTV.
This program has repeated a few times in the last couple of days. Worth a watch.
