This chick flick looking movie goes too deep to be labeled as such.

Mirabelle (Claire Danes) is a store clerk in the glove department by day while pursuing her artistic talent at night. She is looking for companionship and security in a relationship. Two men from different sides of the track come into her life; one rich, successful, well mannered and older (Steve Martin) while the other is young, kinda goofy and trying to make his own way from the bottom up (Jason Schwartzman). Which one is right for her?

The most endearing part of this film for us was the narration behind the scenes prodding us to think about relationships and the philosophy we have about them and how this is all played out by the characters.

Recommended!

Imaging note: I checked Widescreen review and while no note was made of poor color or an overall subtle green cast that is exactly what we watched. Further testing on another DVD player and another system altogether yielded the same results. Please post your observations.
