"Bloody Sunday" is a recreation of the events of Sunday, January 30, 1972 in Derry, Ireland. It captures a controversial and highly disturbing historical event.
This is a superb film which I highly recommend.
"Bloody Sunday" is one view of what happened that day ... a very effective one. It is shot with chilly realism using all hand held cameras. I got the feeling while watching this film that I was actually watching a live event ... a very disturbing one. I was watching as everything was spiraling out of control ... and it was clear that no one on either side could stop the inevitable tragedy.
