He discusses the Second World War, particularly the fire bombing of Japanese cities prior to the dropping of the Atomic Bombs. The Cuban Missle Crisis where we came frighteningly close to Nuclear War ... he said we were just lucky! And the Vietnam War in where his disagreements with President Johnson lead to his firing. Tragically, the entire war may have been avoided if the two sides had just communicated with each other ... both totally misunderstood the other side.
I highly recommend this fascinating documentary.
