Receiver: Turns on and off immediately

In most cases this infers the unit is in protect mode and many products will say that in the display somewhere for the few moments it is on. Beyond checking your speaker wiring for good connections and no wires touching each other your unit will require service. If this is you then it is also recommended after you make your speaker wire checks that you disconnect the receiver completely, plug in the AC cord and see if it will stay on to confirm this is not being caused by something in your system.
