mitsubishi 60" 4:3

My son has a 60" mitsubishi 4:3 rear projection tv. It has been moved from house to house several times and now suffers from severe video distortion with horizontal lines runn accross the middle of the screen. The set also turns itself off periodically. resetting the covergence does nothing. the problems seem to be even worse when using a dvd. Is this an expensive problem to fix or are there some user friendly adjustments----- John

Sure sounds like a repair. Recommend you contact a service center either authorized for Mitsubishi or authorized for some other brands. Please keep us posted of your progress and good luck!
