If you want to avoid all that crimping stuff and have the best connector I've ever seen get the CenterPin Connector. These are now sold by RCA and here is the website to purchase: http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?s ... =1&loc=111

They are 5.99 for a pair and this is for the RG6 Quad Shield cable and not the regualar RG6. If you have the regular they make them also. No soldering needed, no crimping and they go on in about 30 seconds. I've used them for a couple of years with absolutely no problems. I've been putting connectors on all types of coax for thirty years and this is the greatest product I've ever seen.

Hugh,

I've never seen them. Though I perfer to use the crimp on, it's good to know about these. I may order some to play. Thanks!

They are really slick and they do not pull away when connecting and unconnecting, it's a real premanent fit. A little expensive but they look good and the connection is solid. They also make an In-Line connector for both RG6 and RG6Q so splices are simple.
