If you are a fan of this movie then you absolutely must see this in HD as there is no other release comparable. The DVD version is a very grainy artifact filled 4:3 letterbox. That said either the film mastering is off or the film itself is very soft with poor focus. Had the same experience with another oldie. Need to get Greg Hoey on board to help understand why.

This is the film version of the broadway play about the final days of Jesus that put composer Andrew Loyd Webber on the map of fame.
