These were originally developed for consumer audio applications. Due to the small amount of space they occupy on the back panel of products they have also been used for consumer video applications. Unfortunatley these connectors are typically 50 ohm impedance and video requires 75 ohm for proper performance. Even then these kind of connectors are best used in 3 meter length applications or less.
