Time Warner Orange County CA has removed "VCR brand" from the settings menu of it's Explorer 3250HD cable box, making it impossible to program a HD VCR to be controlled by the cable box. Time Warner Customer Service tell me that analog vcr people with HD cable boxes were confused. Also, HD NBC and Showtime programs were recordable in real time, but HBO HD is no longer recordable....someone at Time Warner set the wrong filter.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Has anyone been able to get Time Warner to reverse themselves?
ps The Time Warner Customer Support person denied that HD VCRs exist!
Time Warner no longer supporting HD VCRs.
