It is a well-made video. A lot of the ideas in the video come from work done at Xerox Parc and the MIT Media Lab, but obviously the world has moved a lot closer to practicality for those ideas and Corning has a huge stake in supplying the high value-added glass for current and futuristic displays. The great success of touch screens in tablets and cell phones is a big factor also. I'm not particularly impressed by the classroom shown in the video, because I have spent a lot of time in real classrooms, and for me the Khan Academy approach is much more exciting than the one displayed here.

Thanks for your post, Jeff. The part that I love about these videos from Corning is that almost all of the technology depicted is available today in off-the-shelf products. It may not be quite at the level of integration or the size shown in the video, but it's also not pure speculation either.
