Sylvania/Emerson/Funai : Remote Part# NF602UD
TV/DVD Combo's: FXV8266, LD155SL8, LD200EM8, LD200SL8

Wife purchase this little 15" LCD ATSC-HDTV/DVD 720P combo from local K-Mart Store on close out {hey for $140 we felt it was a steal!} For her home office and they gave her a remote thinking that it was the correct remote for the set as it turned off/on, and changed channels on the set. [alot of on line reivews state this TV has 4X3 screen when it really has a 16X10=1024X768=Widescreen because it is a widescreen 'style' TV as test image is "almost round" but is not "oval" as if viewed on a 4X3 screen.]
But the remote given to us did not have DVD functions....
I have 'JP1' programmable remotes..
Will be programing either a RCA810/B or a Radio Shack remote.
Any help here finding the correct codes??
Or suggestion on a low cost preprogramed remote that would have the codes??
Since we do not have the original remote can not just learn the codes!!

Unless you are speaking of an "open-box" , final sale, no-returns item - please DO take it back today!
That will prove to be only a continuing, very huge disappointment, much moreso than just the wrong remote.
"Sylvania" belongs right up there with most of all our old famous Brands from our distant past ... Polaroid, Westinghouse, Magnavox .... which have been sold to or leased to the very least of the Asian makers of TVs.
No local parts - servicing dealers either In or After "warranty." Strictly a solid example of the Disposable / Throwaway class of sets now being pushed onto unsuspecting folks such as your Mrs.! Sorry.

We know it was a 'disposable' TV but it is small and fit our needs... can use the on set buttons if needed.. but for the money we both thought it was worth the purchase for now tell we could afford after the 1st of the year something better...eliwhitney wrote:No local parts - servicing dealers either In or After "warranty." The oem remote is $40.00 so not really ''cheap''Richard wrote:Good news is remotes have become dirt cheap for the most part!
I have been able to download the 'codes' into my Harmony 880 remote {purchased on sale for less than $75 from JR Music 18 months ago} so can teach my learning remotes..
