waves are running across the screen

Post by feboleena »

Does your HDTV look like waves are running across the screen? I Just bought this TV. Kinda upset. To explain further, IF you took a rock and dropped it into a pond it would make ripples of circles. Its like the picture is doing that. Know what im trying to say. Is this normal?

Sorry to bear "Bad News!" ...but, YOU obviously "know" the answer to your Question!

Take it BACK, today ... ALL outlets allow at-the-very-least a (14) days interval {never have discovered One that states only {7}, even in the instance of "As Is!" BUT ... you may-well have incurred a "RESTOCKING" fee of up to 25%! .....depends upon which Outlet, of course.

SAMsCLUBs / COSTCOs / Greggs etc., are above board & don't resort to nasty Terms!

Obviously, these 'thousands upon thousands" wouldn't be sold yearly "..IF.." they all looked like that.

AND ... should this simply be yet another of MANY SPAM Message - ya got me, again! ... I'd rather assume the opposite.

If returnable I agree with Eli but it appears you are viewing a typical 8-bit compressed color banding problem that could also be produced by the source. Make sure you check all the TV inputs with all the source equipment (cable box, bluray, etc.) before assuming the TV is consistently doing it and is the culprit. The banding can also be sourced by content, more obvious in sky pictures, so choose another content to try, this problem ironically happens also in much higher resolutions like 4K, check the picture pair I included toward the end of my last 4K article.
