The Vizio Co-Star may have the Logitech Revue to thank for the uphill battle it faces in convincing consumers that Google TV is the right choice for their living room. When wereviewed the Revue almost two years ago, there were some aspects of it we really liked. But it never quite caught on with the masses. Vizio is hoping that the Co-Star can change expectations; and at a price of only $99, it sure is a lot easier for many of us to at least check it out.

Re: HDTV and Home Theater Podcast - Podcast #545: Vizio Co-Star with Google TV
I have to object to this review. You Obviously had a Grossly defective unit. I could swallow it was slow, but no sound....you were thinking they were releasing a device with NO audio?? In my tech experience and willingness to be assumptive, I would suggest that is if something like audio were totally down and it was excrutiatingly slow, then the processor or main clock or ??? was bad affecting the entire system - in any case toss the unit back.
Failures happen, if they happen a lot then a product is of poor quality and that should be noted (love Amazon reviews for that). You really should have not released this review without having gotten another unit.
I am not a Vizio rep or particularly a fan other than the easy fast cheap Costco choice for family and friends. I do have a Revue and do not use it much and not in particular not for passing my DVR\Set top box as all video through it is resolution altered and does not look near as good as direct now as good as my Roku. (I like the browser and keyboard w/o HTPC overhead.) That is the review aspect I would like to see on this, with a working unit!!
thanks, steve
