The short answer is that is doesn\'t work very well. One can tick-off a whole litany of deficiencies, both commercial and technical, that have resulted in a less than stellar acceptance of this feature. Does this mean 3DTV is a \"failure?\"

Ed is absolutely right on all counts. As somewhat of a champion for the comsumer, I hate to see this kind of false starting. In the end, the consumer always picks up the tab. Same thing actually happened with BD (witness the early constant s/w downloads required), but the damage wasn't so severe - except for housecalls by installers that should have been un-necessary. Also agreed, where are the organizations that are supposed to protect the consumer from this nonsense!
