I've been using Roku since it's inception and I've been very happy with it.
My only beef with them is that they dropped support of digital audio outs between the first and second generation boxes. So my audio quality has degraded somewhat. I still love the product.
I have cancelled my cable TV because I can get what I need thru Roku. Only exception is HBO: if they could have an HBO channel, life would be sweet.

I don't know that we'll see HBO on Roku anytime soon; the best we can hope for in the nearterm is some sort of authenticated access, but that would require a cable or satellite subscription. I do expect to see the content distributors finding more value through online streaming, however, and the quality and quantity of online choices will continue to grow.
