If you see 3DFusion at the show (or at a hotel for private meetings, say hi to Steve for me) take a look at their auto-stereoscopic panel, it may make you and others change your mind about the viewing angle, number of viewers limitations, image quality, and long wait availability factors you mentioned:

What happened to the 10-15 years wait prediction of journalism? Is it now shrinking to 7, 5 and 3?
That is what happens when journalism wears Nostradamus cape measuring the wind speed with a thumb while letting the keyboard do uninformed predictions.
