Look Coach, No Ads!
Watching an animated logo sure would beat listening to Joe Morgan on SNBB! Well, by the time the season starts, there'll be commercials. Come to think of it...THAT would be better than listening to Joe Morgan!
Ah, well...about 96 days till pitchers and catchers.

Being a CFL fan, and having to watch most games on ESPN3 has me in a position to tell you the ESPN promos they used to show in lieu of commercials were exponentially worse! I was ever so thankful when they started showing real commercials! They started with the animated logo, but that was quickly changed to the promos. You should hope they don't use the promos on GigaOm. Funny enough, they still use the animated logo for the replays of anything on ESPN3, but you can skip that, pretty much like you can on a DVR.
Unfortunately, the CFL season is almost over. The coming weekend will be the quarter-final playoffs, much like the recent MLB, the weekend after will be the semi-finals, with the Grey Cup the weekend after that. And more unfortunately, it looks like the only option for a US fan is ESPN3 for these games as well. What really irritates me about this is I used to watch the CFL on ESPN in the early eighties - before they got bought by ABC (and hence Disney) and had all that money to spend - which meant they dropped both the CFL and Australian Football, too bad.
