Mitsubishi DLP RP WD62627 - no Device menu

Post by vortex24 »

I have a WD 62627 that is 2 years old. Came hold the other night and my wife said the TV had no signal. There had been sometype of problem with the electricity because the Mircrwave clock was blinking and had to be reset.

After several attempts I started getting the NetCommand menu at start up. After about 15 minutes of trying to get a signal the TV went dead. I would push the reset but after it stopped blinking the power would not come on at either the remote or on the tv.

Friday afternoon the service person replaced the E2P PCB Board and power was restored. We even had a picture. But shortly after that I started having problems again. It looks like it is with the NetCommand.

I would push the Device button on the controller but no menu would appear. I was told I had to go thru the NetCommand and set up my equipment again. That doesn't sound correct because the Manual says pushing the Device will open the menu. The menu isn't set up by NetCommand.

When the TV first starts there is a blue screen and message that ANT 1 has no signal and it shuts down after one minute.

After working for about an hour this morning playing with NetCommand the unit went dead again. Before it did I got the NetCommand start up menu after turing the tv on. Before I had to go to TV MENU to get to NetCommand, same symptoms as before NO POWER. even after resetting it.

Can the NetCommand or the software becausing the problem? I would think being able to open the Device Menu should always work since this is the only place where I can select the imput.

Needless to say I have another call into the service people. But it would be very helpful If I could pass any possibilites or ideas on to them.

Thank you

Try this:
1) turn on the TV
2) from the remote control press MENU 2,4,7,0
3) make sure initializing is highlighted, then press ENTER
4) tv will state on screen that it is INITIALIZING
5) when done should be good to go!
