Polaroid TLX-04244B Colored Static after replacement parts

Post by nickl89 »

Hello,
My 42" Polaroid TLX-04244B was recently taken out by a power surge. I replaced the power supply board and the main board. The TV powers on now but displays this weird colored static. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like maybe something to do with "degaussing", either activated all the time, loose or not hooked up.

nickl89,

This site does not support DIY repair so you are not going to get an answer. Best advice is search the internet and you will find lots of sites for DIY repairs.

I just thought of something when I read that I had a reply to my post. I was probably thinking to much "old school" and these new sets probably don't have "degaussing" any more. Oh well.

Degaussing is all about CRT technology, that old stuff which you can't buy anymore...
