If you can't correct the problem using the convergence feature of your product as documented in your owners manual your convergence circuit is broken.

Time for service...

See if your TV has an Advanced convergence setting where you can correct the convergence at numerous points on the screen as opposed to just one overall setting. I know the Mitsubishi RP CRTs have it.

A note of caution...

It is highly unlikely that the data for the convergence alignment has been corrupted - so unlikely that I don't even attempt an alignment until the convergence circuit has been repaired. Under such conditions the repair returns the convergence back to where it was before the failure.

On the other hand, if the customer tries to adjust a broken convergence circuit it will either not work at all or if it helps, only find out it still isn't right. Guess what though? What ever the customer changed remains changed and after the convergence repair they will still have a mess - just a different mess and that means it will need to be re-converged. That just happened over the weekend with a customer and it cost him an extra $100 because he tried to do the convergence in the service menu totally messing up the 480p geometry.
