Washington, Seattle and Snohomish County

Post by joekewl1971 »

Greetings from Shoreline. I use Comcast cable from Snohomish County. Shouts out to KSER listeners.

104 KONG 4 ABC 720p
105 KING 5 NBC 1080i
106 KONG 16 KING sister
107 KIRO 7 CBS 1080i
108 KCTS 9 PBS 720p
110 KMYQ 22 MyQ2
111 KSTW 11 CW
113 KCPQ 13 Fox 720p

I have tested antennae on many of these channels. I recieved many more SD digital channels OTA. Tell me where you are when you watch these channels. Tell me about reception, and any digital channel I may not have listed.
When I had an antennae, tough catches were KCPQ, KBTC, KWPX, and KCTS too could be annoying.

Comcast has cable channels.

173 ESPN 720p
174 ESPN 2 720p
418 NFL Network
532 Starz HD 1080i
549 HBO HD 1080i
563 Cinemax HD 1080i
574 Showtime HD 1080i
660 Universal HD 1080i
661 MHD
662 TNT in HD 1080i
663 HD Theater
664 Mojo / FSN HD
665 Golf Channel HD / Verses HD
667 Animal Planet HD
668 Discovery Channel HD
669 TLC Hd
670 A&E HD
671 The History Channel HD
672 National Geographic Channel
674 HGTV HD
675 Food Network HD
676 SciFi Channel HD

I am very happy with PQ and On Demand. I see a few compression flaws, but it is comparable to my experience with DirecTV. I would like to know more about unknown resolutions. I would like to hear about new channels, and your personal expereinces too. Tell me about your favorite channels, and programs. If you have any questions, pose them. Fun to be here. Please welcome me.

I have OTA only, I am using a Radio Shack 15-2160 antenna and a Channel Master rotator with remote. I'm able to pick up just about anything with the rotator. I also have a Sony DHG-HDD500 DVR which has ATSC,NTSC and QAM cababilities. It also is one of the few devices available that can receive HD OTA. I can pick up KBTC sometimes, they have a sporadic signal strength issue. At times I can pick it up for a couple of months and then it drops out. I can also pick up KVOS 12. I don't think it is possible to pick up the Seattle stations, KCPQ and the PAX /QUBO without a rotator. I live in Shoreline about a half mile south of Costco.
