Good Morning Richard -
Stated unclearly / poorly, I only meant essentially that which you subsequently included in you attachment .... not many HDTVs now even have or offer that cable card slot.
What about that yet-to-be-sold Panasonic built-in unit in conjunction w/ Comcast in strictly (2) cities ?
Not the traditional cable card but it would certainly be a full-featured option { literal two way w/ V.O.D., Pay-for-View, etc., } w/o any external HD set top Receiver ?
Thanks.
eli

It is called Tru2Way and Panasonic is selling tv's in Chicago and denver because Comcast supports it there. Time Warner Cable and Comcast have agreed to support it throughout their systems by about the middle of 2009. It does require a cablecard and it does support two way communications. So as long as your cable system supports it it will solve the problem for now. Tivo has also said they will also have units that will have Tru2Way.
