With no intent to reopen an old bitter debate, but in these times of s****y customer service, I just want to tell you how impressed I am with Toshiba. Out of the blue, in yesterday's mail, came an A3/D3 Firmware update disc 4.0. It didn't say what it does - never does, actually - but with over a million units in use, this update had to cost them at least a million dollars. That seems pretty remarkable to me considering the units are for all practical purposes obsolete and "no longer supported". So I think they at least deserve a big public, thank you....
So, Thank You, Toshiba.......

Toshiba seems to be a company with real guts and real ideals. They lost a lot here....and still are taking care of their customer base, better than many ever do. FYI, they just spent $500m to develope a new MRI type of system...that is profoundly better than previous systems. They are to be admired.
