Question re: EMF emitted by Sony Direct-View HDTV

I have a Sony KV-30HS510 that is being used in the bedroom. I would like to find out how much EMF (radiation) this TV produces, and how far away one needs to be to be safe. As a cancer survivor, I don't want to expose myself to any unnecessary radiation. ( I am assuming that a Sony LCD does not pose this issue.)

The only product I know of that emits x-rays is CRT but that heyday of concern was about 4 decades ago and put to rest 3 decades ago and even then it was a function of how close you were to the display and PC brought it back up again... LCD should be 100% safe but I would ask your doctor...

I am a cancer survivor (stage III/IVa, tonsil) and I don't think you have much to worry about from direct view crt. The emissions are minimal, regulated by the FDA and lead is added to the CRT front glass to add additional shielding.

There is no radiation from LCD or plasma.

Thanks for the replies. I feel less concerned now that I have read those suggested references.
(I noticed that I need to proof read a little more carefully when I am spelling "direct view".)
