Can we get an AMEN for Miller

VOD and recorders are coming......

Directv and Tivo are in the process of bringing out new technology that will not require purchase of new equipment. They have finally mended their fences and are going to spoil us all.

HD and non-HD alike.

If you'd actually read my comment you'd know that my logic was not based on the size of the sample.

I THINK YOU ALL MISSED SOMETHING...

Post by franknspud »

Did you all miss the following article: http://www.hdtvmagazine.com/news/2008/0 ... canada.php ?

To me it says there is plenty of interest in Blu-ray.

I don't mean to be rude, but ... Of course there is plenty of interest in Blu-ray from retailers ... they can sell us the same movies they've sold us all over again. But the main point of this thread is that even though there is now "focus" from these major retailers on the Blu-ray format ... consumers aren't buying!

But, you also use statistical numbers to make it sound better.

Hello celestine & welcome !

The two don't "play" the HD discs of each other - - - so, the Movie Producers had to make "double" versions of every single show!

MUCH too costly . . . even "IF" this struggle had NOT happened prior, the on-going Global Economic Mess certainly would have ended one! Apparently, SONY happened to have {THEN} had the most money/ outlasted Toshiba ?

Besides, with national unemployment now ~ ~ 10% - - there simply isn't the GOBS of surplus monies around now for those $30 DVDs as there was back when . . . .

Not quite dead

Well, it seems that there actually will be a new HD-DVD release on November 24th. It's a new, indie horror film entitled "Deadlands 2: Trapped".
