Hi simoncable -

The sole means (today) to even experience that ( p ) display is with an excellent HD "Player" and some equally superb material, such as the Planet Earth HD, or others, connected with a certified 1.3a, cat 2 HDMI Cable.

Next Fall, the then-new Players will require new compatible Sound Receivers as well.

There is no broadcasting yet using ( p ). Except for an sole new company trying to do so, there may not be any, either .

So far, I haven't seen difference between 1080I and 1080P.
What were the sources for your test and your display brand and model?
