Appears you want the BLUE version that comes with a VGA extension cable. You connect that VGA to the Fury and the other end to your VGA input on the projector. Take the HDMI cable and plug that into the Fury. Select the VGA input on the projector.

What ever scan rate you are feeding your projector now via analog video is what you would feed it with HDMI. It's just another type of connection...

so it is NOT a way to get a digital high resolution image via HDMI but simply downgrade
the image to 480 lines....Right?

I don't understand what you don't understand...

The Fury provides an HDCP HDMI input, converts it to RGBHV and that gets connected to your VGA input. Whatever your display accepts via analog video it will accept via HDMI. So if your display accepts 1080i as an example then you will get the same via HDMI.

I'm confused; will the HDFury allow me to patch in a DVD or HDTV and display it at 1080i on my Mitusibishi WS-65908?
If not, what is out that I can use? (I'll be happy to go to another forum for this, if you could please direct me)

Because your TV accepts RGBHV the answer is yes, this will work. What part of this concept has you confused?
