720p,1080p and viewing distance

kv-34xbr910,approx 4yrs old; want a bigger screen, and newer technology- the sony'l go in bedroom, replacing sony 34hd1.

34hd1... that's their first from like 98-99 isn't it? :shock:

yes. the 910 relaced that one,and the 960(i think) came out a short time later.

The 910 ISF calibrated is awesome in so many ways. A near reference only lacking in detail. Unfortunately it was too small for real world viewing distances...

you're right. i had both ISF calibrated. in terms of my quandry, leaning towards the 720p,@about 8-9ft. hard to beat for the$$$...(2k).
