New laser HDTV from Mitsubishi
Reads just like a press release from Mitsubishi. Anyone seen one, knows anything about price, specs? The part about 3D really interests me. Think I'll order one. Now.

Mitsubishi Laser-based DLP
We've been hearing about this for years. Sounds like the same old promo with no substance. Where's the beef?!

I don't recall there being any press releases in the past stating...
Shane, did you visit their booth? What did they have?
Their next model season is 2008-2009 with service training and the first shipments commencing around August/September every year.Mitsubishi will ship LaserTVs to authorized retailers in the United States later this year.

Release Date for Mits Laser TV
Richard, Google "Mitsubishi Laser TV" and you'll see a number of articles wherein Mits indicated they would have the product out by the end of 07. I was told the same Q3 last year when I visited my local Mits rep.
I'm only questioning this because my Mits HDTV is now over 3 years old and I'm tired of replacing lamps every year (my wife has this thing on 16 hours/day). I'm looking forward to buying a laser unit after it has been out on the streets for about a year, or switching to LED lamp unit from Samsung.
