I have a WD-62725 from 2005 and I have been told that my light engine is bad. $1400 to fix it! Has my warranty been extended also or just the models listed? Any info is appreciated.

If your model is not in the list it does not qualify for the warranty extension. Yours is first generation and the two warranty extensions are related to specific problems with 2nd and 3rd gen product.

I am in the sales end of the business and i have taken numerous problems on mitsubishi dlp sets. It sounds like you are in the field as far as setup. Have you seen alot of problems with mitsubishi tv's? i am working on possibly getting something done through mitsubishi. My tv had a bunch of wavy lines through it and now the lamp light is red. After replacing the lamp the light indicator is still red. any help is appreciated

Who told you it has a defective light engine?
